Terri D. Homer, M.D.

Dr. Homer received her B.A. degree, Magna Cum Laude from Brandeis University in 1974. She earned her M.D. from Northwestern University in Chicago. After completing her internship at Northwestern, she completed her residency and fellowship in anesthesiology at Stanford University in 1983 and is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Homer entered private practice anesthesia at Seton Medical Hospital and practiced there from 1983 – 1987. She has been with the Associated Anesthesiologists Medical Group in Palo Alto since 1987 providing anesthesia for all surgical specialties at Stanford Hospital as well as at many surgery centers in the area. She is on the Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the Department of Anesthesia at Stanford and has an appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor.

Dr. Homer was a volunteer anesthesiologist with Interplast, Inc. for 23 years participating and at times leading surgical teams to perform plastic reconstructive surgery on needy children in developing countries. After participating in more than 30 trips she has resigned from Interplast and is now doing volunteer anesthesia work closer to home in a low income dental clinic in Half Moon Bay, California.

For the past 10 years Dr. Homer has been practicing office based dental anesthesia working with many pediatric dentists as well as with other dental specialists and oral surgeons. She provides anesthesia services for more than 35 dental and oral surgery offices. Dr. Homer has been providing anesthesia services for Dr. Lakha and Dr. Baird in their office on a regular basis, several days per month, since 1997.
